KAHULUI – Saying that Maui Oil Co. can’t just be selling fuel
anymore, owners Alec and Terry McBarnet are diversifying by building
a high-tech carwash with an environmentally friendly spin.
The McBarnets have
been low-key about their new operation, now just about halfway
finished by contractor Valley Isle Builders. But the steel frame
of the 20-foot-wide, 16-foot-tall and 120-foot-long structure
can’t be missed by motorists passing the junction of Hana Highway
